It’s Never Too Late, and You’re Never Too Old to Shine Bright!

Hey gorgeous! Welcome back! I have been having some conversations with several beautiful friends. We're all a little more seasoned in life and the common thread that has come up, is that they're feeling they're "too old" for something. Whether it's starting that new project, that business they've been dreaming of, that new relationship and more.  This really breaks my heart!!! So we had some really lovely conversations about this, but then something else hit me. If they're feeling this way, they're probably not the only ones.  I also experienced the most amazing graduate this past weekend! Well, besides my sweet step-daughter! Let me share a story that warmed my heart this weekend. My step-daughter graduated with her degree, and I couldn’t have been prouder. But as the names were called, and caps flew high in celebration, one graduate stood out among the sea of fresh-faced achievers. His name was Carl, a gentleman with a full head of grey hair an...

Is Anyone Listening?

Hey Babes~ It's funny to me sometimes that, when I sit down to write, what I had in mind totally shifts, changes, does a 360 and I end up sharing something off the cuff that I haven't even thought through.  That's what's happening in this post. Maybe it's divine intervention? Maybe it's ADHD. HA~Anyway, whatever it is, here we go!  Do you ever wonder, is anyone listening? I mean, really listening? I heard a quote once, unsure where it came from, but it stuck with me. Maybe it was a movie, if you've heard it, will you please tell me in the comments? Anyway, it was something like, "is it all just clicks and whistles on your end?" Do you feel that way sometimes, or all the time when talking to someone else?  Side note: The even funner part of winging it, is I have no idea where this is going to head, so, I hope you hang with me. If for nothing more than comedic relief if it bombs horribly.  We talk. All the time. To our spouse, kids, boss, co-worker...

Self Love, Why should we even try?

Hey Babes, Welcome to another blog post! Hope everyone has been great these past few weeks. I took a break from last week, not purposeful, let's call it what was, I didn't take the time to sit down and write.  I'd like to say that won't happen again, but that would not be real.  Ok, let's move forward. Maybe I'm stalling a bit as well because as much as you may dislike this topic and squirm a little, I am as well. Why do we do this? Self love is important, but it's a really hard topic.  It's been said that you can't love others properly until you love yourself. Maybe we should sit in that quote for a minute. Thinking about the love we give to others. Our kiddos, spouses, friends. There's also a quote that says you can't pour from an empty cup. Well, my friends, that has to do will self love as well.  Let's dive in.  Self love isn't just a fleeting feeling. It's a deep-rooted acceptance and appreciation of who we are. It begins w...

This is the Good Stuff~Attitude of Gratitude

Hey Babes! Have I got a great thought to share with you today!  I sat down not having any idea what to share or what I wanted to say. Thoughts about spring, it being April crossed my mind and I was just going to lean into something like that. And then when thinking of a title, this popped into my head. So I am running with this instead.  The good stuff. Hmm. What exacty does that mean? For starters, there's a lot to be said for having an attitude of gratitude. Well, I take it to mean, when you're shooting for a goal, or planning your life, or looking ahead, whatever you want to call it, you're searching for "The Good Stuff." Am I right?  What if you're already there? Hear me out. I know that could be a bit confusing since I'm the one pushing toward you're next level babe, your higher self, the next amazing level to achieve.  Hold on though. Are you embracing this level though? Have you stopped to think about that where you are is also a place you...
